A 20% discount is available on groups of 20 or more persons, as shown in the table above. Special arrangements can be made for school parties, details will be provided on application.

Castle Tours

Tours of the Castle are self-guided, with guide cards and Guides on each floor to answer your questions. Guided tours are available and are subject to availability - therefore, advance booking is necessary. Tours take approximately 1 hour.

The Private Apartments

Tours of the Private Apartments including the Broughshane Paintings are available from 22nd April to 11th May. There are two tours per day and places are limited to 20 per tour. Cost is £10 per person - if you would like to do the public-side of the Castle also, the normal ticket price is applicable. Bookings for Private Apartment tours MUST be made in advance.


You are very welcome to take photography within the Castle using small cameras or mobile phones. However, these images are strictly for personal use. No commercial photography within the Castle or on the Estate is allowed without prior authorisation.

To keep our artifacts safe and with consideration to all our visitors uninterrupted enjoyment, we do not allow tripods, selfie sticks or flash photography.


In order to keep our artifacts safe, we DO NOT allow backpacks inside the Castle.


Dogs are NOT admitted to the Castle and Gardens, assistance dogs excepted. All dogs are however allowed on the wider Estate when kept on a lead.


The use of drones and other flying machinery is NOT allowed on the Estate.
