An American Aristocrat's Guide to Great Estates
In 2019, Inveraray Castle was the chosen location for episode one of An American Aristocrat's Guide to Great Estates.

Sprawling estates and magnificent castles dot Britain’s landscape, passed down from one aristocratic heir or heiress to the next. But life in a stately home isn’t quite the fairy tale it’s made out to be.

Join Julie Montagu, Viscountess Hinchingbrooke, as she ventures through some of the most storied and remarkable estates in Great Britain.

Episode one follows Julie as she travels to Inveraray to see how the Duke and Duchess of Argyll run their castle and sprawling 50,000-acre estate as both a business and private home. Julie attends the annual Inveraray Highland Games and has a go at the most challenging event: tossing the caber.
