Secretary
A vacancy has arisen for a Secretary at Argyll Estates. The role of the Secretary is to help deliver the smooth operation of activities across the estate. The successful candidate will be organised, dependable and have excellent people and communication skills.
Argyll Estates is a modern and diverse land and visitor attraction with business streams including Inveraray Castle, forestry, renewable energy developments and events.
Below is a snapshot of some of the duties associated with this role:
- Responding to general enquiries by phone, email and in person.
- Preparing correspondence, schedules, minutes and agendas.
- Mail management.
- Paper and electronic filing.
- Diary management and arranging meetings.
- Liaising with cleaners/housekeepers.
- Maintaining employee records.
- Data entry.
The successful candidate must have good communication skills, strong organisation skills and a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude. Experience of working in a similar role is advantageous.
Job Specifics
This is a permanent position. The position is office based with a requirement to work elsewhere on the estate from time to time. The position is based in Inveraray, Argyll. A key element of the role is liaising closely and providing support to the entire estate team.
The successful candidate will report to the Factor.
Hours of work
We are flexible about the number of hours worked and the days on which these are worked, fixed hours will be agreed with the successful candidate. Weekend hours will not generally be required.
