Assistant Gardener
The opportunity has arisen for the position of an assistant gardener to join the team at Inveraray Castle and Gardens.
The assistant gardener is responsible for supporting the year-round garden maintenance of Inveraray Castle Gardens. The gardens extend to about 16 acres and are comprised of formal lawns, a rose garden, wildflower meadow, shrub beds (with an emphasis on Rhododendrons and Azaleas), herbaceous borders and a woodland garden containing specimen trees.
The assistant gardener will be joining a small team which carry out skilled gardening and general garden and maintenance work. The role is public-facing during the open season, and involves conducting garden tours and being the public face of Inveraray Castle Gardens.
The position is primarily outdoors and the successful candidate should be prepared to work in all weather conditions and to perform physical tasks as part of the role.
The successful candidate should be hard working and conscientious with practical experience and the ability to communicate. Full driving licence is essential.

Castle Tour Guide
Vacancies have arisen for Tour Guides to join our team for the 2025 season. These positions can be either Full or Part-time and will involve conducting castle tours and answering visitor queries.
An interest in Scottish History would be an advantage.
Full on-the-job training will be provided.
Successful candidates must be friendly and outgoing and enjoy providing a high degree of customer service.

Tearoom Assistant / Shop Assistant
Vacancies have arisen for Tearoom Assistants and Shop Assistants to join our team for the 2025 season, in the cafe/tearoom and the Gift Shop at Inveraray Castle. This can be an exceptionally busy venue during the summer months.
The position involves constant interaction with the public and we take pride in our high guest service standard, so the successful candidate must display similar attributes.
On-the-job training will be provided.
